DJ Speedy (Supa Fine/ICRadio/CCRadio/TSOL Radio) will be hosting the event and also get you in the mood by providing you with them grooves &amp; beats.<br /><br />YASMIN OGILVIE<br /><br />Yasmin is the freshest and youngest saxophonist to grace the global dance floors. Coming from a classical upbringing and studying at the prestigious Trinity College of Music, she achieved a first class honours degree and Yasmin was taken on as a prodigy of the worlds classical legends.<br /><br />2009 saw her first full solo performance at the Improvisation Music Festival. Her breathtaking talent was supported only by dancers and the performance astounded the audience and recived rave reviews.<br /><br />With passion for Latin Jazz, dance music was on her mind and Yasmin set out to take a change in direction. Since then she has gained an amazing amount of recognition for her ability and has performed at some of the worlds grandest venues. One of the highlights was recording at the world renowned Maida Vale studio for BBC Radio 1.<br /><br />JULES RENDELL<br /><br />Jules describes herslef as a 'singer soulwriter', Jules Rendell's mix of soulful vocals, jazz harmony and accoustic paino riffs are influenced by the likes of Rachelle, Minnie Riperton, Aretha and Prince. In May 2010, Jules was voted Premier Radio's Live and Unsigned competition winner with her song 'Sunrise', from her recently released and self-produced 7 track EP of the same name. 2010 has been a busy year for Jules, having performed in the Czech Republic and France, at festivals in London and across in UK, with her gospel and soul ensemble 'Get Gospel', and 3 piece Andrew Sister tribute act. 'The Rockabellas'. Her session work included recording for the X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent and Andrew Llyod Webber, and live vocals included with Keane and the Gorillaz. However this all fails and so the Pastor turns to Obeah (Voo Doo).<br /><br />Meanwhile Bashiyra is directed to focus her attention to the church's off-key choir, more looking like a bunch of comedians (Wayne 'Dibbi Rollins) and then of course there is the choirs' own 'liccle' star rude 'bwoy' (Tippa Irie) adding potency to the mix. Bashiyra makes it her personal mission whilst she's undercover to help them find their true voices even though she realises that whilst she's breathing new life into the off key choir, her own cover could actually be blown for good.<br /><br />With the masked 'man' giving chase, is time running out for Bashiyra? Dj Speedy (Supa Fine/ICRadio/CCRadio/TSOL) will be hosting the event and also get you in the mood by providing you with them grooves &amp; beats.<br /><br />ZENA EDWARDS<br /><br />Zena Edwards has been involved in performance for 14 years - as a vocalist, poet and stage-manager after graduating from Middlesex Ubeen a performance poet since 1998, performing, pniversity. Zena has professionally and facilitating workshops in poetry and creative writing since 2002. Zena recently studied at The London International School for Performing Arts.<br /><br />Zena was nominated for the Arts Foundation Award for performance Poetry 2007. Zena has toured toured extensively round the UK and Europe supported by the Apples and Snakes poetry organisation, 57 Productions and the British Council and has shared the stage and anthologies with some of her most admired predecessors Linton Kwesi Johnson, Sonia Sanchez, Lemn Sissay, Jean Binta Breeze and Roger Mcgogh.<br /><br />ONENESS<br /><br />OneNess is an actress, performance poet, writer director and producer. She has been performing since the age of 8 years. Her talents include directing and producing theatre, teaching theatre practices, acting and performance poetry/spoken word.<br /><br />In recent years given performances in a productions such as Tuggstar for President at The Birmingham Repertoire Theatre, shared with Mica Paris, Terri Walker, Swiss, Black Twang, Dead Prez many more. OneNess was nominated for the Best Black female poet of 2005 by Black Women in the Arts and hailed in the New Nation Newsspaper as being one of the top 5 poets of 2005. OneNess has appeared on BBC radio 4 series bespoken word and played Brenda in Angie Le Mar's Choice FM radio series 'The Brothers'. OneNess has hosted and appearted on TV channels such as BEN TV, BBC Midlands and Oslo TV.<br /><br />As a member of London's poetry collective the 'Best Kept Secret', OneNess became the first person out side of the USA to win a prize at The Toronto International Poetry Slam. OneNess released her debut single 'A COLON &amp; A BRACKET (AKA DAT FACEBOOK SONG!)<br /><br />BIANCA ROSE<br /><br />"...like all great soul, her music touches on something so pure its utterly intangible. Kennedy Centre</strong> for Performing Arts. Making an impact within the realms of royalty, FLO was invited for lunch at <strong>St. James Palace</strong> to perform and present <strong>Prince Philip</strong> with her framed poetry.</div><br /><br /><div>In 2006 opening up for <strong>Dwele</strong> &amp; <strong>Jaguar Wright</strong> also performed for <strong>Erykah Budu</strong>, and her debut CD <strong>'Jus Let It FLO'</strong> project includes production from <strong>Omar</strong>, <strong>Don E</strong> and <strong>Scratch Professer</strong>.<br /></div><br /><div>FLO company <strong>'Energy Arts'</strong>, works closely with youth and community to empower and engage through the arts. Whilst experiencing this solo success, <strong>Bashiyra</strong> was approached and engaged as a songwriter by the production and songwriting team <strong>'Gamble And Huff'</strong>.</div><br /><br /><div>1996 saw the release of the <strong>'Walk Spirit Talk Spirit'</strong> <strong>Jump Cut</strong> album by <strong>The Red Raw Collective</strong>, on which Bashiyra featured as guest vocalist and composed the vocal melody structure on <strong>'Mistified'</strong>. That same year <strong>Bashiyra</strong> released <strong>'Give Me A Little More Time'</strong> on the Japanese DEN album for <strong>Life records</strong>, as well as <strong>'Got To Get Your Love'</strong> on the album <strong>'A Sprinkle Of Confetti'</strong>, which was recorded live at the <strong>Jazz Cafe</strong>.</div><br /><br /><div>Three years later in 1999, <strong>Bashiyra</strong> wrote and released the single <strong>'This Will Be My Night'</strong> which resulted in positive chart success in Belgium.</div><br /><br /><div><strong>Bashiyra</strong> works as a vocal coach and facilitates songwriting and composition workshops in schools, for private clients and organisations such as <strong>The Rock School</strong>, <strong>The Midi Music Company</strong> and <strong>Albany Theatre</strong> in London. Her involvement with <strong>Westminster Education Action Zone</strong> projects generated successful and positive outcomes. In this project <strong>Bashiyra</strong> had to work with young people aged 8-18 and delivered programs to children with special needs.</div><br /><br /><div>2003 Bashiyra co-founded the creative arts organisation <strong>'ITA'</strong> which was set up to encourage people of different cultures to learn about each other through music and spoken word. That same year saw another release and chart success in Europe with the single <strong>'Island In The Rain'</strong>, followed by the release of <strong>'U Know I Love It'</strong>, on the album <strong>'Wowie Zowie'</strong> by <strong>SuperChumbo</strong>. Recognition for her substantial contribution to music at <strong>'Festival Of Black Females Voices'</strong>, <strong>Hackney Empire</strong>, where she won the award for <strong>'Aspiring Black Female Singer'</strong>. She first started singing in 1988 after discovering Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan and was inspired to take up singing as a career. Shortly after this she joined 80's jazz/blues/pop band 'Fish Out of Water' and recorded the album 'Red Sunset' released on Stream records 1989. (under previous moniker Xandra Williams). The band played many venues in and around London including the Festival and Queen Elizabeth Hall foyers, Universities, wine bar and Restaurants. Around this time she also worked with guitarists and pianisit in duos and performed jazz standards in around London.</div><br /><div align="center"></div><div align="center">She took a long hiatus in 1992to persue her love of art and completed a BA in Textiles at Goldsmith University. While there she also performed with all women jazz band 'Freedom Suit' with bandleader Sheila Stocking and they also worked on an originals project featuring just voice and drums. Talibah also created soundpieces as part of textiles work and featured in a group exhibition in St Giles church Camberwell. She then started a family taking out to concentrate on her children. In the mean time she honed her craft developing her sound with vocalists specialing in jazz, notably Clare Foster and Philomena Campus she studied part-time at City lit with Foster and also many jazz and latin workshops.</div><br /><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Rivers-Graham's singing is firmly rooted in the jazz and latin style and she is influenced by great singers such as Vaughan, Holiday and Fitzgerald. Her repertoire includes songs by Ellington, Jobim and Gershwin - her aim is to turn a song inside out to see where she can take it whilst creating a comtemporary twist. She also plays with the idea of changing the atmosphere in a room by using her voice and music.</div><br /><div align="center">She now works with jazz guitarist Osamu Yano and is currently working on songs chosen by her husband Kenneth Graham which includes artists such as Tom Waits and 80's singer Bill Mackenzie. She has been performing since the age of 8 years. Her talents include directing and producing threatre, teaching theatre practices, acting and performance poetry/spoken word. Her recent work includes directing a cast of 16 performers in a musical 'Misrepresented People', co-produced by herself on behalf of Nottingham Playhouse.<br /></p><p align="center">In recent years OneNess has given powerful acting performces in the productions such as Tuggstar for President at The Cochrane Theatre and Modern Amazons at The Birmingham Repertoire Theatre shared with Mica Paris, Terri Walker, Swiss, Black Twang, Dead Prez &amp; many more familiar names has proformed in many venues. OneNess was nominated for Best Black female poet 2005 by Black Women in the Arts and was hailed in the New Nation Newspaper as being one of the top 5 poets of 2005. OneNess has appeared on BBC radio 4 series bespoken word and playing Brenda in Angie Le Mar's Choice FM radio series 'The Brothers'. She has also hosted and appeared on TV channels such as Ben TV, BBC Midlands and Oslo TV.</p><p align="center">As a member of London's finest poetry collective the 'Best Kept Secret', OneNess became the first person out side of the USA to win a prize at Tronto International Poerty Slam, whilst the collective were on tour in Canada. OneNess was awarded third place as developing as a performace artist she is constantly involed in supporting her community for the betterment and empowerment of her people. This includes work with women's groups, liberation campaigns, progressive grass roots organistions, student activism and so on. OneNess states that her aim is that her aim is "to aspire to live and travel beyond the words she speaks and prays that she will be brave enough to walk the path that the ancestors have laid before her". OneNess is currently working on an EP for release 2010.<br /><br />Fidel</p><p align="center">Is a singer/songwriter who burst onto the UK scene with his original acoustic style. Fidel describes his music as 'Folk Blues' and his music touches on politics &amp; every day life, from a humorous albeit serious point of view. His influences include Bob Marley, Bill Withers &amp; Dennis Brown and as a result of his extensive acoustic tours has a large fan base that continues to grow.</p><p align="center">He performed at Russell Simmons hip-hop summit in Los Angeles as well as supporting reggae legends Burning Spear &amp; Buju Banton. Fidel wrote 4 tracks on Hil St Soul latest ablum "Black Rose" her most successful to date, and also for her ablum "Soulidfied".</p><p align="center">Fidel also wrote the lead song for the feature film sound track "Don't Trigger" detailing the alarming rate of gun/knife murders amongst teenagers in the UK and has written tracks with International songwriter/producer Sasha Scarbec who co-wrote the 2005 international smash hit "You're Beautiful" with UK singer/songwriter James Blunt.</p><p align="center"><br />Akue Tu</p><p align="center">Started singing in the school choir and at the tender age of 9 years old was singing in the equivalent of the Royal Festival Hall in Germany and Hong Kong. At the age of 14 she sang and played Bass Guitar in here own reggae band performing at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London on several occasions.<br /></p><p align="center">During her time singing background vocals in a 16-piece African Jazz/Funk band, Akue auditioned for a Gospel band and found herself performing alongside The Sound Of Blackness and other well know artistes.<br /></p><p align="center">Forever moving forward she then sang background vocals with a five piece Jazz/Funk band and then lead vocals in a 3 piece R&amp;B band performing in the presence of Tever Nelson who were offered an independent record deal.</p><p align="center">Having achieved the highest accreditation in the World Music for Live Musicianship and Rehearsal/Performace, she then went onto achieve the highest accredation at the British Academy of New Music as Vocal Artist and Performing artist at the end of 2007.<br /></p><p align="center">She performed , for the first time as a solo artist, with guitar in hand in January 2007 to a packed audience at the Vocals @ Vortex in Dalston, with Bob Stuckley Trio and was told by audience member that she blew everyone out of the water. At the recent British Academy Of Songwriters, Composers and Authors songwriting critique (june 09) Tim Fraser, Phil Pickett and Peter Cunnah (D-Ream), were very impressed with her piano and vocal track "Mother Nature" , which is on here latest album "Introspection".<br /></p><p align="center">Crazy Harmonica<br /></p><p align="center">Has shared the stage with the likes of Abram Wilson, Denys Baptiste, Shabaka Hutchins, Gary Crosby and young talent that is Tommows Warriors.
